Anxiety disorders are the most common mental illness in the U.S., affecting 18% of the population every year. I am sure that number exploded in 2020. There was so much national fear and tension that sparked lots of anxiety for a variety of reasons.
Anxiety can affect the body in many ways with panic attacks, depression, headaches, irritability, shallow breathing, loss of libido, extreme fatigue, and high blood pressure. Those are all bad but chronic stress can manifest into even more scarier outcomes. Back in January, I read an article on a man whose retina detached due to stress. I was shocked to learn you can have temporary blindness due to stress.
Since it is National Stress Awareness Month, I wanted to dust off an old piece of content that is so relevant for this time.
A few years ago, Heather LeGuilloux shared tips to ease anxiety naturally in the RawFoodMealPlanner.com Health Empowerment Circle. Make sure to listen to Heather and make those techniques a part of your lifestyle.
