This is my favorite quote from Martin Luther King Jr. Even wild animals know this. We could learn many things from animals. Faith is what many of us lack and it’s ruining our health.
I spoke to a man yesterday whose whole body is in pain. He’s searching for healing for his body.
I asked him, “How is your day going?”
He says to me, “I’m in so much pain. I don’t think what I’m doing is going to help it. I had such a rough year this year.”
I replied, “Yes, 2016 was rough for many people. But, 2017 brings new promise.”
He responds saying, “Not with Trump in the White House! What kind of message does that send to the rest of the world? All the progress we’ve made in this country was just erased.”
I’ve heard this story many times over from people. They’re essentially allowing the national election to ruin their health by hinging all of this dystopian gloom on themselves. It’s a projection and not a real thing. The stress we induce on ourselves with things that ultimately do not matter because it’s not the ultimate truth only creates an environment of toxicity in the body and deters any chances of a speedy recovery.
Have faith that 2017 will be your best year yet. Set the intention and strategically move in that direction.
Somehow, in years past, regardless of who is President, there are people who do well. If you feel that you need to be in the top 1% to do well, make a plan of action to get yourself there. It’s all possible because we live in America in an age where rags-to-riches stories are happening all over. You have to find the drive inside of you and not dwell on what you feel is not going right.
