Vegans are practically taking over. Billions of dollars are going into plant based meats and milks. People are lining up to have vegan burgers at KFC. But there is still more work to do to get to a place of health in this country. Eating meat-free and dairy-free is great. But, we also need to eat mostly whole fruits and vegetables and preferably raw.
The raw food diet is one in which at least 75% of daily calories are from raw foods. High raw is when at least 50% is from raw foods. I promote a high raw vegan diet because uncooked plant foods are full of essential enzymes that convert certain phytochemicals into active forms and aid in the digestive process. Some of these enzymes have cancer fighting properties and help ward off other diseases and chronic ailments.
Take delicious plums for instance, which are now in season by the way. Plums are powerhouses of nutrition. They are rich in iron, promote hair growth, help the body recover from adrenal fatigue, and improve blood circulation. All we have to do is eat them and they do all the heavy lifting.
In this podcast episode, you’ll learn:
🗣️ New ways to use plums
🗣️ How to come up with a meal plan
