This is a much delayed post because I wanted to spend more time and gather more information and personal experiences of Haiti. Haiti is the most disrespected of all the Caribbean islands and I don’t understand why since they played such a huge role in Black liberation history. Today, on this episode of the Raw Food Health Empowerment Podcast, my Haitian friend from high school, Elizabeth, shares some insight on why Haiti has been crippled financially and her experiences and memories of the food from her home country.
Join us on this journey. As promised, below are the foods and herbs from all the islands we mention and the playlist here to enjoy and make the journey more real.
