There has been a lot of social media buzz around ALS lately. Some don’t understand why people are pouring buckets of ice water on themselves. I saw an amazing video today about the importance of the attention that the Ice Bucket Challenge has brought to ALS. See below this guy’s personal account of the disease.
In the video he speaks about really wanting the pharmaceutical industry to invest in developing a drug to help those with ALS. I thought about this and did some research on some natural methods to help alleviate some of the symptoms of ALS. I am not one who relies on the pharmaceutical industry. I stay away from chemicals at all cost. So if I were dealing with this disease or felt I was at risk for getting it due to my genetic history, my regimen would incorporate all of the following:
An Alkaline Diet – All raw vegan diet void of unhealthy oils (some cooking oils actually destroy the protective covering of the nerves which lead to paralysis of parts of the body)
Seaweeds – Blue green algae, bladderwrac, chlorella, dulse, iceland moss, irish moss, kelp, spirulina
Alkaline Water
Herbs – cayenne, ginger, cinnamon, blue vervain, butcher’s broom, chaparral, chamomile, comfrey root, goldenseal root, kava kava, manjistha, passion flower, periwinkle, and valerian root
Monoatomic gold
Accupressure/Acupuncture
Chiropractic Care
Colon Hydrotherapy
Hyperbaric Oxygen Chamber
Occupational Therapy
Physical Therapy
Speech Therapy
Yoga
Vibrational Healing/Chakra Balancing
I know that even with this regimen, it could take years to “cure” myself. However, that would be my goal if I were dealing with this. This holistic health path is always a journey. Once you overcome one thing there is always something else wether it be a physical, emotional or mental issue/challenge that comes up. But because life is beautiful and we are grateful for the gift of life, we continuously fight to keep ourselves as healthy as possible regardless of what the universe throws our way.
