Did you know that stress can affect your digestive system?
They call the gut the second brain. It is also known as the seat of all human emotions. Digestion is controlled by the nervous system so when we’re facing trauma, stress or anxiety due to family issues, the news or politics – as is the case these days for many folks – our digestive system shuts down blood flow and limits the secretions necessary to properly break down and absorb the nutrients from the foods we’re consuming. This is why stress is known to cause indigestion, nausea, diarrhea, constipation, and lack of appetite.
If you’re dealing with any of these issues, this episode is for you.
