Processed foods and animal products are mostly what Americans eat. These “foods” don’t have micro nutrients. They are concentrated calories with little micronutrient load. When the body gets an insufficient amount of micronutrients, it is starving for nutrition. Additionally, these food choices lead to more addictive behaviors
Fatigue can mean you’re not eating properly. When you have more waste products in the body, it penetrates the blood brain barrier and makes you feel irritated and angry unless you’re constantly eating. When the body is cleansing itself, the body may feel worse. For example, for the smoker, it’s painful for them to stop smoking cigarettes. The same is true for weaning off junk and processed food addiction. This ill feeling usually goes away in 4 days although there may be a secondary wave of it.
Salt contributes to food addiction. It deadens the taste buds of not just salt but other flavors. Salt is an appetite stimulant and holds water weight on the body. Salt and artificial sweeteners drive food addiction and overeating.

Food addiction is an addiction. There is a process to get out. One technique I recommend is seeing gratitude in God’s blessing in whole plant foods and other things we have. It’s about finding fulfillment in other areas. It’s a personality makeover. We go into detail on this in today’s episode.
