I’m going to show you how to make a healthy recipe very quickly and easily and pack it up for lunch. This recipe was inspired by SheLikesFood.com. I love food but I also love my time and I love my health so when I look at a recipe, I pull what I like and say to myself. “How can I make this work for me?” I will show you how I make this recipe work for me.
This recipe is full of nutrients and minerals, and helps to ward off heart disease. Let’s do a quick rundown on these powerful foods:
Tahini is made from unhulled sesame seeds. It’s rich in minerals good for the bones and blood. It has compounds that facilitate liver detoxification. It’s rich in protein and it’s a healthy source of fat.
We have some other healthy fats in here, like almonds, which help to lower cholesterol and research shows that almonds help to lower colon cancer risk.
You know what else is a cancer fighter? Our good friend kale. Kale is rich in iron, which supports proper liver function; it’s rich in vitamin A, which is good for vision and skin and helps prevent lung and oral cavity cancers; and it’s rich in calcium, which we know is good for bones and a healthy metabolism.
All plant foods help with weight loss because they are rich in fiber and most are low in unhealthy fat. One example of this is avocadoes. Avocadoes are a good source of healthy fats and high in potassium, which is linked to reduced blood pressure. High blood pressure can cause heart attacks, strokes and kidney failure. Avocadoes are also rich in nutrients that are important for eye health.
We’re making sweet potatoes, which are rich in vitamin c and vitamin D, which helps build healthy bones and regulate mood. They are rich in iron and magnesium, which helps to regulate stress and rich in potassium, which protects and controls kidney activity.
This is all life giving food we are eating, like garbanzo beans, which is rich in protein, magnesium, potassium and iron. All of these minerals are crucial for the proper functioning of our body. While we sleep eat and breathe, the body is working to heal and repair. It is the best computer ever invented. Let’s learn how to operate it properly so we get longevity out of it.
