E-40 says “Everybody got choices”. You can choose to not do any activity and still lose weight (diet and lifestyle choices can do that), but there are so many benefits to even working out for 15 minutes each day.
It improves my mood. When I’m upset, I can go in and burn so many calories whether it be cardio or strength training. The time flies by because my steam really pushes me. I get out all my anger and by the end of my session, I feel like I just had a massage. I leave feeling relaxed and ready for a nice shower. It is the best and cheapest therapy session you can ever experience.
It boosts my energy. Even if I’m not upset, just taking 30 minutes out of the day to put on music I enjoy and move is the energy shot I don’t need to spend money on! All the blood is pumping and dopamine, which is the feel good hormone, is being released in my brain. It is truly a euphoric experience. If you never experienced this, I suggest finding activity you enjoy and get consistent with it and then send me an email thanking me when you experience it. The feeling is waiting for you.
Physical activity actually helps me sleep better at nights. I fall into deeper sleep quicker so my quality of sleep is better when I’m active.
It just brings fun into my day. We all lead busy lives and most who live in big cities have lots of stress. Just take 15 minutes at least to start to get away from the stresses of the day and just have fun. Do an activity you enjoy and put on some good music and move your body. Give yourself the injection of feel good medication.
