I love jumping rope mainly because it’s fun. It relaxes my mind and is almost like a meditation because I’m concentrating on my breath and I have to concentrate on keeping rhythm with the rope. It’s a serious sweat-fest so for me it feels like a detox session. 10 minutes of jumping rope is equivalent to running an 8 minute mile. Jumping rope regularly helps strengthen my ankles and improves my foot coordination, which helps me in my daily circuit and dance training. Also, the rope is very easy to travel with so if you travel a lot for work, having this rope in your bag will help you stick to your workout regimen.
