How to grow dahlias in Central Florida (East End Market):
Join Eileen of FarmGal Flowers for this dahlia intensive. Eileen will share her secrets for growing these beautiful flowers in the Florida sun. Students will learn:
- when and how to plant tubers
- how to maintain and stake dahlias
- which varieties grow best here
- how to harvest blooms and extend the vase life
Students will also be invited to join the FarmGal Flowers Dahlia Intensive Facebook group and will be notified as soon as possible if the workshop needs to be rescheduled due to inclement weather.
Please bring gardening gloves (if you would like to handle tubers), a pen, notebook, hat, water.
Cancellation policy: You may cancel 7 days prior to class and receive a full refund. No cancellations after 1/28/22. Only registered students are allowed in the classroom area.

TGI Yoga (Three Masks INC)
Tammy is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), dancer, promoter of health/wellness, and stretch/flexibility enthusiast. She started practicing yoga 8 years ago (self-taught) during graduate school as a method of stress relief, which quickly grew into a passion. After years of urging from those who have followed her yoga journey online, Tammy decided to complete her yoga teacher certification in 2020 and is a registered yoga teacher (RYT-200) with the Yoga Alliance.

Gardenfest! Natures finest marketplace (3280 Riverside Park Drive)
At Gardenfest! Plants for sale include palms, ferns, orchids, bamboo, Florida natives, herbs, succulents, bonsai, roses, and geraniums. There will also be pottery, furniture, statuary, and other garden accessories. In addition, “ask the experts” returns each day with free lectures, demonstrations, and Q&A sessions.
Hosted by the Garden Club of Indian River County, which will be selling raffle tickets for prize packages to help the club fund its community outreach.
Admission is free. Time is 9:00 AM Feb 5. Feb 6, time is 4:00 PM.
Meditation in the Park (Demens Landing Park, 525-549 2nd Avenue Southeast)
This is a 20 minute guided meditation that will take you on a journey back to your heart so that you’re better able to show up for yourself and others by coming from a place of love, compassion, and understanding.
Please bring A towel/mat/blanket/pillow for you to sit on.

Kid’s Yoga and Zen Gardens (1600 N Orange Ave)
Enjoy a relaxing afternoon of yoga in the park and build your zen garden. These activities will promote mindfulness and well-being for you and your child. Jenny will be leading Yoga in the park, and Pamela will be facilitating the zen garden project in our studio in the exact location on Lake Ivanhoe. These activities will promote mindfulness and well-being for you and your child.
Snacks and tea will be provided while creating the zen gardens.
The tickets cost is $47.25, while for an additional child ticket cost is $ 33.46. The tickets can be found on Eventbrite. Time is 1:00 PM to 2:30 PM.
